Award for greatest increase in social impact: SVCA and AVPN

[Added 06/Jun/2012]

SVCA
The Asian Venture Philanthropy Network (“AVPN”) has partnered with the Singapore Venture Capital and Private Equity Association (“SVCA”) to create a joint award to recognize both the funder and the organization that has achieved a significant increase in its social impact as a result of the funding. The organization could be a non-profit organization or socially conscious enterprise.

Each year, during its annual members’ Gala Dinner in September, the SVCA presents a targeted set of awards to participants in the Venture Capital and Private Equity industry. This year SVCA has expanded the awards to include not only general partners (GPs) in the industry but a broader set of stakeholders to reflect the breadth of ways venture capital and private equity can create value, both in the for-profit and non-profit world

If you have funded a very successful social purpose organization in the last five years then please complete the short nomination form and send it to the SVCA. If you have significantly increased your social impact in the last five years thanks to a major funder then apply. The award recognizes significantly increased social impact and is not restricted or related to the application of venture philanthropy approach.

Organizations can apply or nominate others for one, some, or all of the awards. Any organization that is either headquartered in Singapore and/or who has an investor/donor who is headquartered in Singapore is eligible. The deadline for applications is 15 July 2012.
