Description of Organization:
EVPA is a membership association made up of organisations interested in or practicing venture philanthropy across Europe. Established in 2004, the association is a unique network consisting of over 140 members, including VP Funds, grant-making foundations, private equity firms and professional service firms, philanthropy advisors and business schools. EVPA has two main airms: to support its members in carrying out their venture philanthropy activities and to promote venture philanthropy throughout Europe. To achieve this mission, EVPA:
- Provide a forum within which European based venture philanthropists can network, exchange ideas and debate best practice both online and offline through its many events throughout the year.
- Informs potential donors and others of the role and benefits of venture philanthropy and facilitating its development, with the aim of increasing knowledge and acceptance of the benefits of venture philanthropy in the charitable sector.
- The EVPA Knowledge Centre collects inductry data and produces research on best practice, mapping the future of venture philanthropy and social investment.
