AVPN and SVCA joint award

Share

AVPN has partnered with the Singapore Venture Capital and Private Equity Association (SVCA) to create an award which will recognize successful examples of social impact funding. The award will recognize both the funder and the organization funded, with the winner selected on the basis of the greatest change in social impact by the funded organization.SVCA organizes annual awards to participants in the Venture Capital and Private Equity industry. This year, they have expanded the awards to include a broader set of stakeholders to reflect the breadth of ways venture capital and private equity skills and experience can create value, both in the for-profit and non-profit world. This joint award with AVPN will raise the profile of philanthropy and investing for social impact among the mainstream PE and VC industry participants. If successful in Singapore, AVPN will explore similar collaborations with other venture capital and private equity associations in the region that are already members of AVPN.Organizations – whether funders or social purpose organizations – can apply themselves or nominate others. Any organization that is either headquartered in Singapore and/or has an investor/donor headquartered in Singapore is eligible (if the funder or investee has close links with Singapore they may also be considered). The deadline for applications is 15 July 2012.For more information or to download an application form: www.svca.org.sg
